DL-163 Jaimini's Narayana Dasa - Koch
In this workshop, Robert Koch will present the calculations and applications of Jaimini's Narayana dasa. Also called Padakrama dasa in the Jaimini Upadesha Sutras, Narayana dasa is a superb predictive system based upon the relationship between the three primal deities, Brahma, Maheswara, and Vishnu, and the three sign modalities, viz. moveable, fixed, and dual. It is thus a Phalita rasi dasa (karmic results dasa), that embodies the principles of creation with a separate progression for cardinal signs rising (represented by Brahma); then a progression for destruction, represented by Shiva (Maheswara), and calculated for fixed signs rising; and finally for the principles of sustenance and enlightenment, represented by Vishnu, which commence from dual signs rising. Thus every function and experience of human life can be seen and timed with uncanny accuracy through this dasa system, and thus it will prove to be of immense value to the practice of astrologers who learn and apply it. Robert will also present some key matters in Jaimini astrology for interpretation of Rasi dasas, such as Argalas (intervention), Pada, or Arudhas of houses; Chara karakas: as well as special lagnas, like Ghatika, Hora, and Varnada, and their importance. Numerous example charts will also be presented as illustrations as to the power and efficacy of Narayana dasa.
