DL-217 Spiritual Indicators through Jaimini Astrology – Gomes
Jaimini Astrology is one of the most complete and all encompassing astrological systems practiced in India. According to principles contained in the Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra and the Jaimini Sutram, among others, certain spiritual factors are discussed extensively, including potential for liberation and mode of worship which certain Jaimini indicators reveal (including adherence to certain gods and goddesses and darshans (systems of belief). This workshop will discuss these factors and how these manifest in the charts of individuals, and will assist these individuals in using the Jaimini padas as a way of assessing the timing of these spiritual "impulses". We will pay particular attention to the dasas of the indicators of the sixth (sadhana) house, eighth (psychic development) house, and twelfth (spiritual awakening) house. Although consistent with the Vimshottri dasa, this information will provide more specific timing of events connected with these houses, and will help the Jyotishi assess the spiritual thrust of the sadhaka (seeker).
