DL-232 Marakas & Karakas - Ullal
Understanding the influences of Karakas and Marakas is fundamental in evaluating and analyzing a chart. Karaka means agent or indicator. Maraka is the opposing principle to Karaka and means to kill or destroy. Karakas and Marakas play an important role in delineating the results of the Dasa/Bhukti. Their impact must be considered in conjunction with the normal rules of astrology in order to arrive at accurate results. If we overlook these elements, our interpretation of the influences in the chart will be incomplete and the projected results may not, in fact, take place. During this lecture, we will examine all of the issues involved in evaluating the Karakas and Marakas.
