DL-282 Ninth Path to the Hidden Self (Navamsa) – Levacy
There are sixteen major ways of dividing the circle of the zodiac. These groupings are called vargas. After the familiar rasi or natal chart, the most important division of the zodiac is the navamsa of one-ninth division of a sign. In this class we will examine the astronomical basis of the navamsa, and we will explore its correlation to recent discoveries in harmonic theory. While the navamsa chart is commonly perceived as the chart for analyzing relationships, we will also examine other innovative navamsa techniques as explained in such classics as Jataka Parijata, Deva Keralam, Hora Sara, Saravali, Phala Deepika, Uttarakalamitra, Prasna Marga and others.
