DL-421 Use of Karakas & Upaprahas in the Chart – Gomes
The Chara (movable) Karakas and Naisirigka (fixed) Karakas can be used in a variety of applications. This class will examine their use in predictions through a variety of mahadasa systems, including the Jaimini Chara dasa, Vimshottri dasa, the Naisirigka dasa, and the special Karaka dasa. The class will also discuss the use of 7 or 8 chara karakas (This debate is not recent; it is mentioned in the classical works on this topic). The upagrahas are mentioned in several classical Indian texts, with house by house significations identified; yet a more general interpretational methodology using these special points in space can deepen the chart reading and provide new insights when interpreting mahadasas and gochara (transits).
